Jubilee CityFest, Inc and Creek Casinos Proudly Present:
Bama’s Big Bang, Alabama’s biggest, most entertaining fireworks show synced to music. The fireworks extravaganza will be produced by the award winning and Montgomery’s own, Pyrotecnico. Rocco Vitale, Creative Director for Pyrotecnico, choreographed the soundtrack with over 12 different artists’ songs including a tribute to the military. Bama’s Big Bang explodes over Riverwalk Amphitheatre with dazzling lights and shapes raining down to a soundtrack of pop, country, hip hop, and Rock.
“We are so excited about this year’s newest event,” says James Belton chairman for the 2011 Bama’s Big Bang. “This will be the biggest and best show in Alabama.”
Pyrotecnico, established in 1889 by the Vitale Family in Pietramelara, Italy, is America's most creative fireworks display and special effects company. The motto they live by is “Knock their socks off and leave them wanting more”. At the turn of the 21st century, the Pyrotecnico extended family looks to continue traditions as they created exciting celebrations for the next 100 years. CEO Stephen Vitale knows that they are a great company, but also knows what has made them amazing.
"While we've become one of the premiere fireworks companies in the world, we cannot lose sight of what has gotten us here: a commitment to innovation that impacts audiences visually and emotionally, attention to detail, listening to clients and a serious regard for safety. We take pride in these skills and use them to provide the best show possible for each event," says Vitale.
“We want to thank all of our sponsors, especially the Creek Casinos for sponsoring the pyro-musical fireworks spectacular. We would also like to thank the City of Montgomery, and a special shout out to Y-102 and Hot 105 that will play the soundtrack for the show on their radio stations,” said Marianne McLeod director of the festival. “Spectators will be able to turn on either one of these stations and listen to the music and watch the fireworks,” says McLeod.
“I have always wanted to produce a pyro-music spectacular of this magnitude in my hometown. This is a dream come true,” says Bruce Volensky Senior VP Sales of Pyrotecnico and long time Montgomery resident.
In order to get the full effect of the production, the best viewing will be from inside Riverwalk Amphitheater Park. The show is designed for attendees at the Riverfront with aerials and crisscrossing low level and frontages effects for a wall of fireworks.
“This production will not be like anything anyone has ever seen in the state of Alabama,” says Volensky.

Mayor Todd Strange agrees with dreams coming true in Montgomery; after all, Montgomery is the Capital of Dreams. Mayor Strange dreams of seeing lots of visitors and residents being downtown enjoying themselves and FEELING and SEEING the show.
“We want to showcase Alabama’s Capital City and our new Entertainment District,” says Strange.
You can view the fireworks at the amphitheatre (the best place to view) or even by boat on the river. Please click here to view the river regulations for boating during the event.
